We get a lot of questions from people that are interested in knowing more about the program. In order to get those questions answered we’ve compiled a list of the most frequently asked questions. Find the answers you seek in the drop down menu below.

  • It’s completely free of cost! Our sponsors fund the program so that we can train immigrant founders to start successful businesses.

  • No, we don’t take any equity.

  • Most sessions are held in the afternoon between 17.00-20.00, but sometimes we have sessions in the morning. Each session usually lasts between two or three hours.

  • 2-3 times per week. We usually run core program sessions on Mondays and Thursdays, unless there's a bank holiday or other exceptions. The first session of the week is a physical session and the second session is a practical, online session. Some weeks there’s an additional third bonus workshop. We also expect our founders to work with their projects individually, in between sessions. Additionally, our founders have the opportunity to book individual strategy sessions with our team of business developers.

  • No. Most of our founders combine the program with work or studies.

  • 100%! The program is designed to be flexible, but we expect you to work with your business and implement the feedback you receive in between sessions, so that you get to improve upon your project and have traction along the way.

  • Many! You will get to be part of a community of other like minded entrepreneurs with diverse and international backgrounds. So you will definitely get to expand on your network. And of course - you will get practical hands-on experience and knowledge on how to start and run a successful company in Norway.

  • No, you don’t have an organization number to join, but we expect you to register your company while you’re in the program. During the program, you will learn about the pros & cons of the most common organization forms, about the various rules and regulations you need to be aware of when it comes to taxation, and how to register your company.

  • We do not invest directly in the startups that join our programs, and unfortunately, we can not guarantee that you will get investments as a result of the program. However, we have access to investor networks of angel investors who invest in early-stage startups. They, along with other potential investors, will be present during our demo-day events where the founders get to pitch their ideas in front of an audience. Sometimes these pitches spike the interest of investors and lead to relevant follow-up meetings.

  • Yes, the program is only available for people with a legal residence in Norway.

  • Our program is industry agnostic, meaning we take onboard startups from all sorts of industries. The most important thing for us when we assess candidates is to ensure that we have the necessary knowledge and experience internally that you can benefit from.

  • You have to live in Oslo or Viken to be able to join. This is because the program is funded to support immigrant founders that have residency in those two areas. However, we hope to expand the program to other cities in Norway in the future.

  • No, there will be several physical events during the program. We expect those who join to attend these so that a community is generated. In fact, one of the reasons why people join our program is to meet others through physical events.

  • We don’t have any industry specific focus, but we are looking for talented founders who recognize themselves in one of these situations:

    • You are looking for new ways of creating a livelihood through starting your own business

    • You are in the idea stage or have started your company less than 2 years ago

    • You live in Oslo or Viken

    • Struggle to find relevant jobs in Norway

    • Or you find it hard to access relevant networks and the Norwegian startup ecosystem.

    • We do not select based industry specific focus areas, but we appreciate projects that has a tech component and/or sustainability focus,

    • We also accept livelihood entrepreneurs and/ or consultancy based businesses.

    Accepted participants is expected to attend at least 80% of all sessions.

    We expect you to be active in the sessions and that work on your project throughout the program.
